Stage and Screen

The Addams Family - Blackpool Grand Theatre - Directed by Andy Vitolo

When Wednesday brings home a “normal” boyfriend, chaos ensues from both family members (alive or dead), it’s a love story with a real heart, albeit a twisted one!  Ensemble presents The Addams Family!

Favourite Moment: Uncle Fester has to be one of my favourite characters I have ever played. His energy, hilarity and outlook on the world captures the hearts of the audiences and you really end up falling in love with him. The comedy behind this character lead to some very funny rehearsals and treasured moments.

One Night With Freddie - Promo film

One Night With Freddie is a brand new show created and directed by Seth Daniels in collaboration with Outbreak Productions Ltd and Great Junction Events Ltd. Let Freddie take you on a journey through time as he shows you Queen’s historic rise to become one of the greatest bands in the World. Performed by one of the worlds leading Queen Tribute Bands - Majesty, it will be a night “Guaranteed to blow your mind”

In this promotional film, I played one of the Drag Queens featured (I'm in the green wig)

Favourite Moment: It was a really hot day, my feet were killing, we didn't wrap up till 11pm and I certainly didn't get to bed till 1am knowing full well I was up at 7am to be at work for 9am ... but I wouldn't change it for the world. It was such a great shoot with a very friendly atmosphere.

The Sound of Music (2019) - Blackpool Grand Theatre - Directed by Andy Vitolo

The Sound of Music is set in Austria on the eve of the Anschluss and is based on the real life story of the Von Trapp family singers. In the musical, I played two characters; Franz and Herr Zeller. Two very alternative roles however both having an interest in the Nazi Party. Franz is the butler of the Von Trapp residence who makes reference to how Austria would be better off with the Nazis. Herr Zeller is the leader of a local Nazi organisation an is the perfect example of how the Nazi propaganda made mindless robots to use as pawns. He's ruthless and cunning and has the intent of destroying the Von Trapp family one way or another.

Favourite Moment: I know you shouldn't have favourites, but Herr Zeller was my favourite character to play in this show. It was fun to explore the ins and outs of what made the character tick, and how far gone he was by being so engrossed in the Nazi regime that he lost his moral compass and is happy to shout at children and manipulate situations to hurt and destroy the Von Trapp family. Dark characters are sometimes the most fun to play around with.

Hits from Broadway (2018) - Blackpool Pleasure Beach Paradise Rooms - Directed by Andy Vitolo

HITS FROM BROADWAY was performed at the Blackpool Pleasure Beach Paradise rooms. It included song favourites from popular Broadway musicals such as Les Misérables, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Matilda, Chicago, The Greatest Showman and many more! I chose to sing Willkommen from Cabaret and I'm not my Father's Son from Kinky Boots.

Favourite Moment: Performing Willkommen in front of an audience. It reminded me of one of my first assessments at university where we did a few songs and scenes from Cabaret. I knew from then on that the Emcee would be one of my dream roles.

The Pajama Game (2018) - Vernon Hines - Directed by Michael Holdsworth

The Pajama Game is set in the 1930s in a Pajama Factory. My character, Vernon Hines, is the factory's time keeper and also an insanely jealous person. I really enjoyed this role and it was a perfect way to finish off my three years at Blackpool School of Creative Arts.

Favourite Moment: Being 'drunk' on stage during the knife throwing scene. And although it was extremely tricky to get the timing perfect, which took ages in the rehearsal room, the pay off was well worth it.

Show Case (2018) - Directed by David Scott-Thomas

Our showcase took place in Blackpool and the Arts Theatre West End in London. For it I chose to perform 'If I told you now' by Jason Robert Brown. This was my first time performing in London and definitely wont be my last.

Favourite Moment: Performing on the West End and having the opportunity to celebrate three years of hard work with my peers that have grown with me as performers on this crazy journey.

Broken Frames (2017) - Student short film - Priest - Directed by Andrew Davies

Broken Frames was a short film co-written by myself and a few members of my acting for camera class. It's a story of a woman who deals with an abusive husband in post first world war Britain, who is also suffering from PTSD. In the film I play the local priest. My character has to deal with the internal battle of his duty to god, insuring the wife remains true to her marriage vows and the safety of the woman and her unborn child.

Favourite Moment: Filming on location at the Portland Basin Museum was very exciting and solidified my desire to be in front of the camera, where as before I had only thought of myself as a stage actor.

Sweet Charity (2016) - Oscar Lindquist + Ensemble - Directed by Alison Burns

Sweet Charity was the first show in third year and it was important to me that I pushed myself into doing a role that I knew would broaden me as an actor. Oscar was quite a challenging role for me to play and I really had to dive into what exactly makes him tick.

Favourite Moment: The elevator scene, when Charity asks him where he lives, and he shouts hysterically "IN AN ELEVATOR"

Crazy for You (2016) - Bella Zangler - Directed by Michael Holdsworth

Crazy for You is set in the 1930s. The character I played, Bella Zangler, is a Hungarian producer for the Zangler theatre. He was a great role to play, especially because of all the comedic elements.

Favourite Moment: 'What Causes That?' a very comedic song which had the audience in hysterics. This song took hours of practice up until the point where me and the other actor in this song were practising right before we had to go on stage and perform it. It kind of became our tradition.

Anything Goes (2015) - Ensemble - Directed by Michael Holdsworth

Anything Goes was set in the 1930s on an ocean liner bound from New York to London. This performance happened in my first year of university where we supported the second year students in their show as the ensemble.

Favourite Moment: Getting a little comedic cameo as a camp sailor cooing over Elisha Whitney. It was a really great experience for my first time on the Blackpool Grand Theatre stage.
